On Saturday 3rd Dec 21 City Juniors took part in a CKA tournament at Hills Rd. First up was the U9s playing mono korfball. City had entered

2 teams and there were 7 teams in total. We were very impressed with our U9s, they are improving at a rapid rate. City Apes (the slightly older

ones) came 3rd, behind Milton Rd and Swavesey and City Baboons were 7th, with one draw. Huge well done to everyone: Flora (2), Mia, Isobel, Emma (1), Poppy, Clare, John (1), Max (2), Misha (1) and Harry. (Goals scored might not be entirely accuate!).

Then the U11s. This team has come second in their last two tournaments, both times behind Milton Rd, so we were determined in our first match.

A fine 2-0 win and were happy. Then we took on Swavesey and won 1-0.

We then had to wait 90mins (!) for the final when we played Tigers.

Unfortunately it wasn't our day and we lost 2-0, so another second place.

But a great performance (and we were the only team to try running-in shots). Big well done to all the players: Garrett, Sam (1), Sebastian, Alf (1), Dawson (1), Lilah, Meadow, Lucy and Yunise.

Finally the U13s, just one match played between all those who showed up. City were represented by Ollie and Chloe, and some of our U11 boys subbed on: Sam, Sebastian, Alf and Dawson (and I think Sam and Dawson scored!).

Huge well done to everyone. Thanks as always to the parents for transporting and supporting and a big thank you to Lucy Mc for being our City ref.
