Tournament report
A disappointing result for our U11’s at Sunday’s
Vikings Tournament, with three losses and a 4th place
finish.
Results as follows:
City v Tigers 0 - 2
City v Milton Road 0 - 3
City v Vikings 0 – 4
Although no goals were forthcoming, both Dawson and Sam put up a few very good
shots in the first game, and by the last game plenty of shots were being put up by
more team-mates (although Sam and Dawson dominated – again!).
Whilst we did very well in defense, we do need to work on our Attack, and this is an
area we will be concentrating on next Term.
Meadow was particularly strong in defense – particularly as her opponents were
much, much taller!
This was Oliver’s first match, and after only a few weeks of training. Oliver put in an
amazing effort in each game, and I’m certain the goals will be forthcoming in future
fixtures.
Our U11’s had Ian, Debbie and myself coaching from the side-line, and I’m sure
Dave and Rachel would have had a much more positive impact on play.
Bayley officially ref’d her first game at a Tournament, and did a fantastic job – well
done Bayley!
Perhaps most importantly, of course, 4 of our Team are actually U9's so did well to
keep their bigger, taller and more experienced opponents in check.
Good effort team.
Caroline
