Phoenix played most of the attractive korfball in this match but could not convert their opportunities when they came. City were less pleasing on the eye but more clinical finishing ultimately proved to be the difference.

City slowly built a 4-0 lead in the first half but Phoenix finally registered a score as we approached half-time

Half-time: 4-1

City scored early in the first half and then both teams contrived to remove all excitement from the game, as the ball moved slowly from end to end with little menace. At the very end the scorer had to be awoken to note the last score of the match as Phoenix scored just before the referee put us all out of our misery!
